10 Things You Didn't Know About Mike:

1. Earned my BA in Finance and Personal Financial Planning from Utah State University in 2002
2. Achieved the CFP® Certified Financial Planning Certification in 2007
3. Spent my childhood in Idaho, moving around the state 7 times with my family until I eventually graduated high school in Pocatello, Idaho
4. I have 4 brothers and no sisters. Mom and Dad always said they had a basketball team. The only problem is, we’re all under 5’11.
5. I enjoy being outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, playing golf, or being at the beach. I also enjoy reading, collecting coins and pre-1990 basketball &baseball cards. Every season, I love spending time with family and friends.
6. My favorite comedians include Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Greg Warren, Nate Bargatze, and of course Chris Farley
7. My all-time favorite musician is the late, great “Mr. Margaritaville”, Jimmy Buffett
8. I spent 2 years in the Brazilian Amazon serving as a missionary for my church
9. Eagle Scout with 2 palms. A palm is awarded for every 5 extra merit badges over the required amount to earn Eagle.
10. I’ve been married to my wife Melissa since 2001, and we have 2 adopted children, Cade and Haley whom we adopted 6 weeks apart…We call them “our twins born separately.”
